Bihar Election 2025: As vote counting for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 began on November 14, early trends showed the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) crossing the majority mark. With the BJP and JD(U) leading the alliance, the ruling coalition appears on track to form the government once again.
The Mahagathbandhan, consisting of the Congress and the RJD, is trailing far behind. Meanwhile, the Jan Suraaj Party has not yet opened its account in the initial trends.
Early vote-counting updates started coming in by late morning, with clearer results expected by the afternoon. Final seat-wise outcomes for most constituencies are typically confirmed by the evening, depending on the pace of counting.
This year’s counting process is being carried out by 243 Returning Officers (ROs) and 243 Counting Observers, along with the presence of candidates or their representatives at each centre. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), this is the first time in recent years that no discrepancies, malpractices, or irregularities were found at any polling station during scrutiny. As a result, no repolls have been recommended anywhere in the state.
The final results are expected to solidify the political landscape of Bihar for the next five years, with early indicators giving the NDA a strong edge.
