Akshaya Navami 2025: According to the Hindu calendar, Akshaya Navami is celebrated on the ninth day (Navami) of the Shukla Paksha in the Kartik month. This year, it falls on October 30, 2025. The word ‘Akshaya’ means ‘eternal’ or ‘never-ending’, and it is believed that any good deed, charity, or ritual performed on this day brings unending prosperity and divine blessings.

This day is also known as Amla Navami, as the Amla (Indian Gooseberry) tree holds special religious importance. It is believed that Lord Vishnu resides in the Amla tree on this auspicious day, and worshipping it removes sins and brings fortune.

1. Worship the Amla Tree

Take a holy bath in the morning and wear yellow clothes. Offer water, rice, turmeric, and flowers to the Amla tree.
Chant “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya” while circumambulating the tree seven times to receive Lord Vishnu’s blessings.

2. Worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu Together

Set up idols or pictures of Lakshmi-Narayan at home or under the Amla tree.
Offer flowers, incense, and sweets like kheer to Goddess Lakshmi and Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu. This ritual attracts wealth and harmony to the household.

If you face frequent obstacles, pour water at the base of the Amla tree and chant: “Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Shree Siddha Lakshmyai Namah” 108 times.
