Cold winds steal moisture from your skin. Result?  Dry, rough and cracked heels.

In winter, the skin becomes less elastic. This makes the heels split more easily.

Walking barefoot on cold floors can worsen dryness and cause deeper cracks.

Hot showers in winter strip natural oils, leading to flaky and damaged heel skin.

Wearing open-back or hard footwear puts pressure on heels and causes cracking.

Moisturize twice a day. Choose creams with shea butter, glycerin or petroleum jelly.

Soak your feet in warm water for 10 minutes to soften dead skin and improve hydration.

Avoid extremely hot showers— Use lukewarm water to protect skin moisture.

Wear soft, cushioned socks to lock in moisture and reduce heel pressure.

Use a pumice stone twice a week to remove dead, thickened skin safely.

Healthy heels in winter are possible! Just moisturize, protect, and avoid harsh habits.
